Flint Hills Communities to Call Home showcases communities located within the Flint Hills region. The website provides future residents with easily accessed information, vital to the selection of a new community.
Our goal is to promote and showcase all the diverse communities in the Flint Hills by providing standardized comparisons of those communities. We provide data on the important criteria that new residents consider when moving to a new community with links and contacts to that community: Drive time to major employment, centers, population, median housing prices, median rental prices, schools, religious organizations, broadband availability, amenities such as pools, parks, & trails, healthcare, hospitals, restaurants, retail and sales tax. Also provided is a drive matrix and regional map showing drive times to employment centers.
Snapshots of each city are distributed by Kansas State University, Ft. Riley and Flint Hills businesses as they hire new faculty, staff and personnel. Communities to Call Home includes Clay, Dickinson, Geary, Morris, Wabaunsee, Pottawatomie and Riley counties.
